Wineries in Napa Valley

If you love the country, good food and abundant wine, you will love visiting the California Wine Country. Napa Valley is the reason California wine is purchased more than the wines from any other regions in the United States. It also leads the nation in terms of wine production.

A visit to the California wine country is for you if you want to enjoy warm, sunny weather, and tour peaceful vineyards and spend the night is a romantic Bed and Breakfast. The restaurants are excellent, some of the best in the country.

One of the newest Napa Valley hotels is also one of the oldest ones. Napa Inn is one of the most interesting Napa Valley hotels you can stay in. It is in the heart of historic Napa in a restored Victorian painted in lovely blue colors. There are rooms and suites available at the Napa Inn, each with its own individual theme. Between the cottage, seven suites and the six rooms, you have quite a bit of variety. Some of the suites have folds out couches, hot tubs, and fireplaces, so this place is comfortable and elegant compared to other Napa Valley hotels and is great for groups or families. With its centrally located, historic setting and old world beauty, the Napa Inn is a more unique option of Napa Valley lodging.

Schedule a private tour or drop by at tour time to see the wineries facilities and learn about wine making. Many wineries will include an appetizer or cheese to have with your wine. Some wineries have interesting seminars on wine and food pairings. These can be fun because you learn how to prepare a dish and learn more about California wine.

One of the top wineries is Artesa Wine. This vineyard has ax excellent tasting room, where $8 gives you a taste of everything from the sparkling wine to their excellent Pinot Noir. You can also sample classic California wine like chardonnays and Zinfandels. The clean, modern building, and relatively secluded location along with incredible views makes this a great place to visit on your tour of the California wine country.

The Napa Valley Dinner Train is a great way to enjoy some more wine and a dinner as you tour the California wine country in a railroad car. With the relaxed pace of Napa, you will want to give yourself a long weekend to tour all the best wineries, visit Calistoga and California's own Old Faithful Geyser, and spend an evening on the Napa Valley Dinner Train.
