Domaine Chandon Vineyard Tours, Napa Valley

During the 1970s, a Frenchman saw the potential of Napa vineyards. A combination of the right climate and growing conditions was seen as an opportunity to expand from France into the new world. Claude Moet purchased land in Northern California and was successful in his venture. In 1976 the visitor’s center of Domaine Chandon opened its doors to share its sparkling wine. Today, Domaine Chandon vineyard tours are still thriving, illustrating that the consistent quality of the wines has been recognized. The development of the Domaine Chandon vineyards occurred over time, as different varietals were tested. Ultimately, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier proved superior. These grapes are the varietals used to make classic French champagne as well.

Some Napa vineyards offer only one or two options for tours, but this is not the case with Domaine Chandon. Anticipating the different desires of their guests, Domaine Chandon vineyard tours come in many different forms. From the basic 35-minute guided tours followed by a tasting of five select still and sparkling wines to an "epicurean tour and tasting" there are many affordable options for visitors. For guests who aren’t interested in tasting the wines, a basic tour is available, without the fee for sampling wines. A private tour and tasting can also be arranged for groups with a minimum of fifteen people. If you’re looking for a festive, bubbly tour, then Domaine Chandon vineyards may be right for you.
