Rubicon Vineyards, Napa Valley

The Rubicon vineyards are in Rutherford, California, some of the best land in the entire state for growing Cabernet Sauvignon and a prime spot in the wine-rich Napa Valley. These grapes were first planted in 1882, and today they are the core of the blend that makes up the flagship wine of the Estate: Rubicon. Rubicon winery tours include seeing the vineyards, tasting estate wines, a Legacy historical tour, admission to the Centennial Museum, and access to the historic chateau. Not all vineyards in Napa have the history Rubicon does, and any visit to the Estate will be filled with stories, hopes, dreams, and aspirations of the families who made a vision come true.

Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Syrah are also grown at the Rubicon vineyards. These varietals contribute to the nine different wines of Rubicon. During Rubicon winery tours, you will taste five of these Estate wines included in your $25 admission fee. The guest fee is waived for members of the Estate wine club, residents of Napa, or those under 21 who are accompanied by an adult. Of all the vineyards in Napa, Rubicon has a story of determination and pride that many will find inspiring. For Francis Coppola and founder Gustave Niebaum before him, wine was a passion and a devotion for life’s work, and the winery still holds true to that ideal.
