Castello di Amorosa Church, Napa Valley

Visitors can combine their tour of this Calistoga winery with a service at the Castello di Amorosa church. No reservations are required to attend the service, and of all the Napa Valley churches, this historic building is particularly worth a visit. Mass is celebrated at Castello di Amorosa in Napa at 8:30 am every Sunday. Visitors to the castle could plan an entire day on the property, from Mass in the morning to a full tour of the winery in a horse-drawn carriage in the afternoon, followed by a food-and-wine pairing course. Children are welcome to the church and on a tour of the winery, but reservations are required in advance. The mass is traditional Latin, and is held in the Saint Catherine of Siena Chapel.

The Castello di Amorosa church requests that all visitors dress appropriately. For women, veils are requested, and for men, a tie. The chapel is located through the courtyard of the Castello di Amorosa in Napa, and parking is available at the crush pad to the right of the castle. Unlike other Napa Valley churches, this chapel does not have a permit to perform wedding ceremonies. The winery does have a sister winery, V. Sattui, that they recommend for wedding celebrations, but unfortunately, Castello di Amorosa does not host weddings. Interesting proposal packages are available, however, so if you’re looking for a memorable way to pop the question, Castello di Amorosa can help with your plans.
